"i am not a number..." - wait , i am!
May 11, 2004 - 12:02 pm

i got my social security number yesterday. which means anytime now i can start working. anytime now. like now. i'm surprised that it only took a week, i'm used to government business taking way longer. court told me to memorize it and surprise surprise i actually have. i can't explain it. i can hardly remember my own telephone # but here i am able to recall nine crazy numbers. i've never ever known my driver's license. it has 15 digits. or my s.i.n. number (nine again) and i've had that since i was 13! so i'm sure i've pushed out some valuable info i had in my head, and those extra numbers clinched it.

last night on pbs there was a show on the invention of tupperware. since we only get six channels pbs usually wins out because the rest the networks have the most disgusting crap on. the swan? i've made my point. so back to tupperware...i think my mom has some original styles from fifty years ago. it was an interesting show. and i'm surprised that they still have "parties" you know, there's a tupperware party every 2.5 seconds somewhere in the world. wacky!

chicago looms closer and closer. we are hitting the highway at 6 am , which means getting up at 4am. it sounds bad, but i've done it before. all of the times we headed up to algonquin park have been early starts to beat the crazy "up north traffic jams" they are quite insane. i hope to visit an old friend on the way. tim horton. i haven't seen him in a couple of months. so, reall y i've been without a decent cup of coffe in that time. the rest of the time i drink earl grey. there are only two place i know of that serve great coffee: timmy tims and dalina on king william in hamtown. both hamilton originals. and in other sad hometown news, i was talking to terry about a month ago and he told me that the old midtown appliance building burned right to the ground. i'm sad for the people who lived above the place that lost everything. luckily no one was killed. so that's that. and hopefully friday i'll be guzzling a "large triple triple" and court will have a maple pecan danish, if they even have them in ohio. and amy can have a real cruller( kroo-lur not kra-ler). and everyone will be in a tim horton's sugar daze. yum!
