cherry tomatoes

i've always wanted to plant a garden. a few herbs and a tomato plant don't constitute a garden. i tried to plant a few vegetables last year but i neglected them and they died. since tomatoes are pretty much 1000% water they need to be watered every day. who knew? it's been around 3 or so weeks now and the plant is almost 4ft. high. courtney takes care of the plant most of the time, like she's always taking care of us.(kitty and me) she is the sweetest wife in the world. she waters it every morning. the tomato plant not kitty, although kitty gets dehydrated very easily and if she doesn't get her morning glass of H2O she has a freak out.

i was sitting out on the porch today and just taking in everything i could with all five senses. i covered my ears and closed my eyes and tried just to take in the odor of all of the flowers and plants. then covering up another one of my senses i tried just to focous on that one sense. like listening to the rain and the background noise of the cars and trucks and jackhammers...it made me think of when we were out in algonquin in the dead of winter. when there was no sound except from your drunken friend 20 ft away.

i hope we get to go away to the farm for the july long weekend. we've been invited by court's dad to go up to the old house. it's not really a farm but it is in the mountains up state. about a four hour drive in the middle of nowhere. nothing new for me.

i haven't written a diary update because most of the things i want to write about seem petty and dull. kind of like this one. ha. plus i'm still looking for work. any work. something that will get me out of the house for a while. and that will help with the bills that are now like a fifty foot overgrown weed. yeah, a monstrosity. i even applied to work at starbucks. weird. next stop wal-mart. heh just kidding, i'd rather stand on a street corner with a hat...which is really getting close to reality.
