1/3 of summer gone
July 24, 2003 - 8:12 pm

i didn't know what to put in this entry, so it will be a hodge podge of stories, adventures, lunatic ravings...

i just thought i'd mention now before i forget, that i have been witness to some of the most dazzling display of clouds that i've ever seen in my entire life. the room is silent. someone coughs. anyway, think what you want. but i happen to like looking up at the sky. day or night. i mean these clouds are super towering structures. colours that are in the ranges from steel blue and magneta to hues of pinks and oranges. sometimes they are still and other times they pass rapidly along. i don't know what it is this year but i haven't been disappointed. the only thing we have to do now is some star watching. (meaning court & i) and if i see some more mind-blowing effects of nature you'll hear it here first.

now moving from a nice cushy air-conditioned 35 yr old home to a not-so cushy 75yr old home(or perhaps older) takes some getting used to. one thing i have to have is a decent working shower. if i don't then i get quite cranky. (that and food) so you say, why didn't you test it out when you first looked at the place. easier said then done. especially when half the bathroom was ripped apart. that should have been the first clue. but when your water pressure is nil(when turned to hot) then we have a problem. and if it isn't fixed within one week, well i'm going to find a shower that does work. hey, i passed up a place already that just had a tub. no thanks. and plus it smelled like pee. the apt. did. eew! so that's the goods on this 80 year old apt. hey, i mean i like it an all or i wouldn't have moved in and spent all the time on it that i am. but i mean business when there's no pressure(or hot water).

so tomorrow i get to travel to see my kitten.(and kitty too) i haven't been down stateside for almost a month. it happens. too much happening up here. but now, i can go. the dollar is still .70 cents. the border should be ok. and the interstate is all torn up. oh, b.t.w. i hope my car makes it, cuz on tues. it was discovered that i needed a new front axel. the test of 800kms begins tomorrow. and hopefully it will only be $250 and not any more than that, if you catch my drift.

and with this first part of summer gone(and some major stress) i hope court and i can enjoy the last two months of summer. may it be as perfect as it already has been(weather wise)and in other ways. well, at least here it has been.
