paperwork blues
June 23, 2003 - 6:33 pm it was a humid one today! i should be so lucky to have taken two years out of my life to go back to school to study massage therapy so i can have on of the most relaxing jobs in the universe and stand in relative air conditioned comfort without breaking a nail(they're way too short) or a sweat.(remember air condition) oh wait i already did that. today i feel for my former co-workers i really do. so i'm not going to complain that i only treated five people today. or the fact that i sat in a semi-comatose state reading the paper. boo-hoo to me. but the paperwork is tiresome. i wrote out four treatment plans today. it wasn't really hard but still, i'm not a big fan ok? on the plus side there was a serious enough "lull" that i could make out new templates for the " new " treatment plans i'll be using. less writing for me. i would have done them all sooner but microsoft word keeps screwing up on the home p.c. gettin' warmed up for the no-holds barred international punchbuggy competition, which commences on july 2nd. through july 5th on our road trip to montreal. and by gettin' warmed up i mean bragging about a rare home victory i had this past weekend. i think the final tally was : me 35 + court 25 ok, ok, we almost saw 50 vw bugs. and i might have won by more than ten, but i'm not counting. these are our rules: new bugs garner one point, plus one punch old bugs, garner two points , and usually a more enthusiastic punch(ow!) you have to yell out the colour too. in the event of a tie, a tie-breaker carries over any + bugs. which means if we happen to yell out at the same time it's a tie. if we tie again, it still carries over. so if someone get the next one they get three points. get it? dealerships: we came to an agreement over this because someone can get really hurt and chaos and an accident are not far behind. did you see the simpsons last year where everyone on the school bus was punching with wild abandon? hey, it happens. so, instead of trying to punch for everyone you think you will see as you drive by. you get ten points and one punch.(cause you'll probably only see ten anyways) it's the turning point of a game, let me tell you. it happend saturday afternoon. and i got it.brag brag) this will be an all out war. tallies will be physically recorded instead of just pure memory. grudges will ebb and flow. bruises on both arms and legs. the winner will have bragging rights for the rest of the year.(or untill we go to washington d.c., later this summer) the loser will be deported from both countires(a.k.a. canada & the u.s.) just kiddin'. i will be eating more than the avg. daily allowance of carrots to keep my eyesight sharp and ready. and are bi-noculars illegal? |
