feels like summer
June 22, 2003 - 11:38 am i've waited and waited for this moment, ah yes, the first day of summer came and went, without any incident.(like perhaps a snowstorm) it was the beginning of one of many lazy summer days with my girl. we hung out in toronto with all of the freaks.(but there weren't as many as i would have thought) the traffic was hell on the gardiner, and when we left it was even worse. then we went to my friend(and ex-roomie) pete's place that he shares with his girlfriend and her son, and now another straggler, who they are helping out. we had din there and hung out for a bit. we left around 8:30ish to check out the sunset. we crossed over the "link" on upper sherman and decided right there to park the car and watch the sun go down. it wasn't spectacular but it was nice. i expect to see many more "sets" with court, so that's ok. by the time we got home my mom was just pulling onto the street, back from her vacation in the dominican. so we sat for an hour and listened to her adventures. it's supposed to be hot for the first full day of summer. we already have the air on. so we can retreat if necessary. |
