tuesday, mail-day
April 29, 2003 - 11:05 pm

tuesday. the highlight of mail-week. why? for one, thats when the t.v. guide gets delivered. its good cereal eating/reading material. these days theres not a lot to scan ahead to. nowadays i just look to see if theres a new simpsons on. back to the mail. the last couple of days ive been getting quite a bit. i like get mail. still. reg or e-mail. the person who gives me the most fun mail , is court. i should reciprocate more often.

yesterday, i received a fifty page pamphlet on SARS, for health care workers. its about time i knew what i was talking about. scary. maybe i wouldnt have cracked that joke the other day if i had gotten it on friday.

today another envelope from the cmto came with some census thingy. it was hard to read. ill check it out on the web later. kinda boring, but its my job, so ill shut up now.

something from my old alma mater came too. alumni stuff. we really shoud have some kind of a newsletter, but no one was motivated enough. so two interesting things came in this envelope. one for the new acupuncture diploma program. i would like to take it, but since im still trying to crawl out of my current debt, itll have to wait. the second was to invite alumni to teach. thats another thing, that might be way ahead of schedule. my college teaching career. so they honestly think i have the standards of excellence to teach at good ol c.t.c? hmm do they know how much dimeo and i goofed off in class. we always sat at the back. snickering. doodling. extended lunches at joe dogs & emmas.

what? i graduated with honours? me? you want me to teach a class? first im very shy and getting up in front of a group of 30 to 40 people is nerve-wracking to say the least.

ive always cringed everytime ive had to do any kind of public speaking. i always hated English class in high school. the oral book reports. the Shakespeare plays. aaaauuuugh! sorry, flashback to 1985. fluorescent shirtsburningeyesmost recently in college it started bad. but the last few, i just kept talking. it does help if you are prepared. i like to be, especially when im blabbering on about something for about an hour or two. so , im wondering did everyone get one of these come and teach at c.t.c. brochures, or just a select fewi will submit my resumelast and least is the subscription letter i received for wired magazine. how did i get on their list? no, i dont think ill be subscribing. boring. even for computer geeks.

now to end with some light hearted cat antics. if i wrote about this previously, my apologies. it must be told. about a month ago, chutney, came up with the brilliant idea of buiding a little fort for herself. you know, a place where she could hide(from me & isis) and just chill out. she took a huge hotel comforter and draped it over a wooden chair, complete with an opening and extra material where she could lay on. and it was all hers until isis muscled in on her scene. which she does constantly. places to sleep. food. toys. poor chut. so today, i spotted a couple of paws poking out of the opening, said hi to chut, not realizing that isis was in there too. yes i almost had a picture of it. but isis moved. i dont know when the next time they will be in there together again. it was a shock because ninety percent of the time if they are that close theyre fighting. and, ok i built the fort. you happy, you got the truth out of me.
