rotate this!

yep, i drove all the way to the big smoke today(from hamtown) just to get le tigre tickets. they are playing at the phoenix on monday. i will see them again with my girl, court. it is kind of special too, because to flashback a bit, it was kind of our first date. well, it was suppose to be...but we ended up going out a few times before that, so...yeah, we saw them last august at club laga in the 'burgh. now we shall see them in t.o. should be a good one. i'm actually glad i had to buy them in toronto(at the ultra cool rotate this record store) because for one, i by-passed the evil ticketmaster. can't always do that though. and i was able to see if my car would actually make the 60km trip there. she chugged and sputtered but we made it! we were originally supposed to see them in pittsburgh, but since i'm slightly banned at the moment, this is a happy substitution.

the drive was extremely windy all the way there. the skyway had a "severe" wind warning up. and it was completely blocked this morning at rush hour. by the time i went over at noon everything was clear. flags were flying and pointing south-east. just after the winston churchill exit, there is the most abnormal flag i've ever seen. the two red bars at both ends were doubled so it looks freaky. i mean can they do that? just start messin' with the cdn flag. i mean if you're going to make a big flag, proportion it correctly. i bet it was made in the states. as soon as i hit the gardiner expressway(which everyone spells wrong, i.e. gardener) it started blowing wet snow. ew! yep it was snowing this morning. ug. the traffic wasn't too bad. except on bathurst where they had lanes closed for construction. so i made a loop and went down king instead of queen st. a few side streets later i found some free parking. quite an accomplishment in downtown t.o. as i was walking to the record store i passed some interesting people like the guy who was walking next to me until i passed him up and heard him horking up a lung. and of course, the clown lady.

it wasn't a pleasant day to be walking anywhere, so i just got the tickets and split. back in hamtown, i visited pete and we chatted for a bit. then went home. i don't know what the rest of the day will hold, but it will go something like this: drink lots of hot chocolate, and talk to my girl. maybe watch the simpsons.

other random things i have done today: got my haircut, which my brother promptly made fun of. took out the garbage which proceeded to blow down the street. perfect time for the "bulk goods" to go out. yeah, this wind sucks and i will start to whine about it for the next five months(maybe six). i'm having fun. it's like being at sea, but you don't get as wet.
