vote quimby
November 10, 2003 - 7:44 pm

believe me, if i could i'd be voting for quimby but instead i have to choose from a socialist, the founder of the church of the universe(whom i voted for last time, thank you very much) and some punk kid i wouldn't even spit on. anyway, i'm just glad i could vote, and i have voted ever since i was able to many moons ago. if i couldn't vote i'd probably be leading(or caught up in) a revolt against the evil dictator. and i'm pretty fortunate to live in a household where i don't get scolded or lectured about who i vote for. the other people in this household(mom and bro) let and let live. i'm not persuaded to vote for someone i don't want to. and just in case you want to get a hint of what i'm for. if i was living in the states, i'd be voting for the democrats.

so tomorrow, the people of hamilton will wake up with a new mayor. so will every other city, town and hamlet in ontario. i'm not sure if this is cross country, but after this province i really don't care. our previous mayor was quite forgettable. i'm sure he was instrumental in getting the city the golf championships and the cycling thingie. ask me if i care. no.

also tomorrow, it is rememberance day. since my dad was in the war fighting against nazi germany, i feel it's only fitting that i stop and observe the two minutes silence that happens every nov. 11 at 11am. i have since i was a kid. we always had an assembly for it. i wonder if they still do. and i have noticed more people wearing poppies. and guess what - our poppies kick ass. about a million times better than the ones they wear in england. i think the people over there make their own. cuz they look like shit. i saw some news cast about another stupid royal scandal, and these poppies really look like crap. please import some from us.
