200,000
August 04, 2003 - 11:52 am yesterday, at approximately 2:38 est the numbers rolled over on the old tercel to 200,000(uh, kilometers). it is a bit of a milestone. so i am a bit excited and it's fun to see all those zeros. it s like a new start for your car - provided it doesn't die seconds later. and it didn't. i have all the important info. of the milestone, such as where it happened. we(court & i) were travelling north-east on freeport rd. in blannox. jeez, i won't forget that too soon. the only thing i didn't do was release balloons and honk the horn repeadedly. hmmm, will i have the tercel at 300,000? court made up the first ever "official punchbuggy score card" up. currently it's 15-12 for court. boo. i did rally yesterday and there's only a few hours left, so we'll see what happens. i was going to write some other things that happened but it'll have to wait til later in the week. court and i did have a nice quiet dinner and time to ourselves on saturday night. that's the day we first met. we also went to see the movie "whale rider" at the old oakmont theatre(in oakmont, of course). it was about a maori girl who is constantly battling her staunch traditional grandfather regarding the old patriarchal maori ways. it was an excellent film and it's far and few between because this is only the third movie we have gone out and seen. i'm not a fan of hollywood trash that comes out every week. if i was ebert, EVERY film would get my thumbs down. i don't even think i could sit through hundreds of films each year. |
