the best valentine's ever
February 15, 2004 - 4:37 pm

it wasn't the presents, or chocolates or candy or whatever else people get at valentine's day. it was just being able to spend all day with my girl and be with each other and have the most fun we had in a long time. and not have hardly an argument or fight. and there was lots of lovin' too. that never hurts.

court just left for home about two hours ago, and i hope she's not still stuck at the border or anything. that's always on my mind. i just hope she's close to erie right about now.

since wednesday we've spent a lot of quality time together and have really enjoyed each others company. and we've been happy too. i think we both know that the enevitable is near, which means that i'll be moving back down to the burgh. that's bound to make both of us pleased. and kitty as well.

we had a leisurely morning yesterday, getting up around 11, then having "breakfest" an hour later. we left for toronto at 1:30 and got to casa loma to have enough time to do the whole tour and then some. there was lots of couples there , so i guess it was a valentine's thing. then we checked into the courtyard hotel around 6-ish and hung out until it was time to go to the restaurant. i made reservations for 7pm and it was a good thing because by the time we left it was packed. it's a japanese restaurant on carlton, called daio. we left stuffed and very happy. the finishing touch was provided by a slice of green tea cake, that had the lightest - and tastiest icing i've ever had. we would have walked around more had it not been for the -15C weather. so we got some snacks and booked it in to our hotel room. and well, the rest of the evening is x-rated so i'll end with that.

this morning we went to fran's to eat breakfast and then it was time to drive back to hamtown. oh and by the way we re-acquainted ourselves with a new round of punch buggy. i'm almost sorry i accepted. i was soundly defeated 24 to 8. blah! there will be a punch-buggy 401-green fury match all the way to montreal. 14 or more ours of looking for vw bugs will have me bug-eyed forever. i can't wait. oh yeah i might even come back with a visa too.

so i would have to agree with court, who proclaimed this to be the best valentine's day ever. i'm glad it was. i hope i can make the next one just as great as yesterdays.
