is it friday yet?
August 18, 2003 - 7:31 pm

not even close. pah! it's still monday. four more days to go. last night a very uneventful trip back to canadaland. home of the darkest province in the land. well, not anymore but it was. i am glad i was able to go down to the 'burgh. and of course spend another weekend with court. it was a quiet weekend. a little t.v. watching. court made a fab fri. din again. it won't be long til i'll be making some f.f.d.'s(that's fab friday dinners for you slow ones) making dinner and cleaning the house will be the only way i'll be able to pull my weight around the apt. and keeping the unruly kitty in line. ha! so, sat. was a lazy type day. playing scrabble, watching the x-games on the tube. and drinking coke and eating delicious folded up hot bbq chips. how old are we? 15? then we went down to p/u amy from the library and trek on southward to ikea. the the e & p for some people watching and din. our waitress was weird, she was "in training" and wearing a steelers t-shirt. classsssssy! that's like going to kelsey's up here and seeing someone in a ti-cats jersey. (and that doesn't happen unless their in the grey cup - and it likely won't happen cuz they're 0-9!) it used to be that people dressed up when they went out for friday-sunday dinner at a restaurant. nowadays it's pick yourself off the floor dust yourself(barely) off and slide into a booth. yes, the decline of the american empire is still going on at a family restaurant near you. after a little shopping and looking we went home. court didn't feel like driving so i offered. i don't usually like the night drive, but if it's near the city it's ok. so we went via the stadium and luckily the game was still going on or it would have been a nightmare times ten. sunday whizzed past as it always does. and then it was time to come home. i wasn't sure how the rolling blackouts would be distributed. but when i walked through the door at 10pm the lights clicked on. i hope the week goes by fast. it should. i'm getting sad and tired from being away from court. then we are seeing each other every weekend, so... but still i just don't want to leave her anymore.(for a real long period of time) and all of this has happened rather quickly. but i guess it was at the boiling point. well time to cruise to st. kitts. it was very calm and peaceful in the 'hood last night. and the cool breeze made sleeping very pleasant. it's been a while since i could say that.
