fixing a hole(and the shower)
April 08, 2003 - 9:11 pm maybe i should have said something sooner. but i didn�t cuz i�m bad. and it�s been going on for a while now. it�s out in the open and we have to do something about it. i am vague, i know. wanna know what it is? ok. it began as a inconspicuous stain on the ceiling in the front room. then i noticed water on the table. then more water. until one day i came in from shovelling snow and court was in the shower and there was water pouring from the ceiling. *groan* three days later a plumber is breaking up our sopping wet ceiling and trying to find out why & where the water is coming from. it obviously is coming from the shower. but it�s not the drain�more investigation will be done tomorrow and hopefully it will be fixed then. i�m saying hopefully b/c i have to shower sometime soon. i don�t smell nice by just washing my hands you know. i did wash my hair today in the laundry tub in the basement. so the people fixing the ceiling were here tonight(they just left) cutting a larger (and straighter ) hole in the front room. they unsuccessfully tried to leave their h.d. humidifier on(it kept on tripping the breaker) but there are two large (and loud) fans running. ones downstairs and the others in the bathroom. my guess is that if everything is dry by tomorrow they will fix the hole they made tonight. stay tuned. now to my finest professional moment. i never thought in a million years i would ever be paid $50/hr. but that�s what happened to me this afternoon. now if only i could keep that up four times a day, five days a week i�d be laughing. the snow has stopped. the temp is above 0. i shovelled the sidewalk i�ve been neglecting since friday. ug. i was hoping to let nature do the rest for me. i might still let it try and melt the driveway. i�ll see how my back feels. and i�d love to tell you all the actual outside temp. but blowing snow has completely covered it. bleh! all hail sprinter!
