i can't really decide where to start, but i could start with last night's interesting events. court and i went to this regal/ecko cookware thing, which we had to go to get this "free" trip she won last sunday at the bridal show. (i didn't go.) i was quite skeptical as i've been burned many times before by winning free stuff but not really winning anything at all. so we learned all about regal's great stainless steel cookware set, which retails for about $2000. yeah, two thousand dollars. obviously we can't afford it, but in order to get this trip we stayed to the bitter end. but hey, if i was a millionare, which i'm not, i'd buy everything. it wasn't all bad; we did get 100 rolls of film which should cover us for the next century, and yes, we got the trip (which doesn't cover travel expenses). there are some cool places we can go.

monday, i found out my dad is engaged to some polish woman who lives in london(england). that just about blew my mind when i read the e-mail from my sister. i'm pretty much the last to hear of anything; i didn't even know he even went to england. he spent a week with some friends, and another lady friend of his is the one who set them up. i can't remember her name either, and that's ok, because he is always forgetting courtney's name. blah. it's hard to believe it's almost 2 years since sofie died (my dad's second wife), but he was pretty sad after that, and i think it's good that he likes someone enough to marry her. i guess it's the old way. crazy but good. and he's very happy.

i am this close to finishing the simpsons puzzle, and i guess the simpsons are this close to being finished themselves. the whole cast has been on strike for 2 weeks because their contract expired and they want a raise. i mean really, what other show is the only one that matters...so they stand to make 8 million each a season, i think that's on par with some bloated ball player who doesn't deserve it. and plus the simpsons is pretty fucking consistent on making me laugh (thanks to the writers, too), and any one ball team or player has done jack for me in ten years.(uh, even the leafs, too) so i'm ready for anything, maybe a boycott if they hire replacements(which always fails, and i mean always).

i will wait and see.

court and i picked up our marriage license, and she found someone who can marry us (in one month's time)--her friend claire who is an ordained minister for the universal life church. i spent a few days this week phoning up judges trying to schedule them to perform the ceremony. now we have to prepare for both of our weddings.

i've lost my thought for the moment, so i'll continue later.
