puzzle obsession
March 17, 2004 - 10:44 am i don't know why it's been so hard to update my diary lately. i've been trying to get my computer off the ground since last week and it's been nothing but a pain in the butt. it's times like these when i wish i knew just a little bit more. i thought it might be the modem , so i went out and bought a new one on monday. same problem. something to do with the hardware, i don't know maybe i didn't install it correctly. yesterday i volunteered at PATF again, my first day was on friday and i spen two hours putting safe sex kits together. i did four hundred of them. yesterday i folded paper in half and hung out with casey, then we went to court's work to pick her up for lunch. it would have been better but the weather wasn't co-operating. i hope this isn't the kind of shit we have to put up with like last year. when spring comes i want warm temperatures, dammit! my latest obessesion has been the puzzle i got for x-mas last year. it's a photomosiac one of the simpsons. court helped me start it on thursday i think and it's been hogging up space on the coffee table ever since. i'd say i have 1/8 of it done, cause i have homer's pants finished, half of maggie and snowball II done. photomosiac is creating a large picture with tons of different tiny ones. court has marvelled how i haven't gone crazy yet. i am in need of a magnifying glass, though. this & that: so in between my interview and going to a penguins game, i've been trying to keep positive by staying busy around the house, cleaning or taking care of kitty's attention hogging needs. i'm itching to get to work soon, but it still might be a month away til i do. there is another job i might apply for, so all i have to do is type up a cover letter and mail it in. and when i get the computer going i'll try to update my diary more often - at least once a week. |
